Riga Stradins University (hereinafter – RSU) is a state founded higher education and science institution supervised by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Latvia and closely integrated within the state health care system already since 1950. RSU is one of the most highly evaluated higher education establishments in Latvia. QS World University Rankings 2019 has included RSU amongst the Top 1000 universities. 8400 students study in RSU in 68 study programs, more than 2100 foreign students, 700 residents. 11 study programs in English language are provided. Studies in RSU takes place in 35 study bases, including also Medical Education Technology Centre established with the support of European Regional Development Foundation (ERAF) and being the most contemporary medical education centre in the Baltic’s. Main study areas of RSU are oncology, work and environmental health, infectious diseases and immunology.
